Bringing Rooftop Solar Closer To Vietnam Manufacturing Companies
VSSES, VSIP, EVN PECC3 and Coral Future jointly organized the seminar “Optimizing Cost and Enhancing Competitive Capacity for Manufacturing Companies with Rooftop Solar Energy” aiming to enhance understanding of manufacturers based at VSIP about Rooftop Solar.
On July 12, VSSES together with VSIP, EVN PECC3 and Coral Future organized the seminar “Optimizing Cost and Enhancing Competitive Capacity for Manufacturing Companies with Rooftop Solar Energy”. The event welcomed the attendees coming from more than 30 manufacturing enterprises based at VSIP Binh Duong.
The event represented that going solar is a a new way out for Vietnam manufacturers as they are now under great pressure from their foreign clients to adop low-carbon solutions within the production process.
What drives brands to make a concerted effort to become more eco-friendly is the new trend of consumer demand. A McKinsey & Company survey found that 76% of millennial respondents and 66% of all respondents said they think about sustainability when making a purchase. The brands that are congruent with the values and priorities of consumers are now their preferred choices. It’s crucial that businesses take steps to reduce their carbon footprint because many consumers place a high emphasis on environmental stability.
The urgent call to advance decarbonization in global consumer trend has increasingly motivate Vietnam manufacturers to pay greater attention to create positive environmental change so that Vietnam can maintain its postition as manufacturing central and important link in global supply chain.
Moreover, as part of the general goal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s action plan to implement Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 made at COP26, greenhouse gas emissions at energy-intensive manufacturing companies will be strictly controlled. This new situation hit our manufacturers and urged them to make timely eco-friendly moves in operation so that they can secure their places in the competitive market.
Therefore, the seminar has an aim to support the manufacturers based in Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) to unlock their potential access to renewable energy as this is a way to heed the call for the sustainability of the new era, according to Mr. Kiet Tran, Business Development Director of VSSES.
During 2 hours of the seminar, not only were participants introduced about the potential growth of the Vietnam Rooftop Solar Market throughout the presentations but they also went on a mini-tour to see a rooftop solar system on the roof of VSIP Binh Duong Office Building delivered by VSSES.
In the future, VSSES will continue to deliver nationwide programs aiming to enhance understanding of manufacturers based at VSIP about Rooftop Solar. With a wealth of experience in the energy sector and a strong local partnership, VSSES will bring our constant support to VSIP’s journey of becoming a green industrial ecosystem in Vietnam.
